Escuela Vera Angelita is a private, nonprofit school for girls who come from underserved & vulnerable communities in San Ramón, Matagalpa, Nicaragua.

Escuela Vera Angelita exists to break the cycle of poverty by investing in the education of aspiring young women leaders. Their mission is to prepare young Nicaraguan women in leading independent, healthy, goal-driven, and meaningful lives and to develop their academic, personal and professional leadership abilities for active participation in the modern world. Given the many challenges Nicaragua faces in its continued development, the country will always need bright, motivated and well-rounded scholars and professionals to take it forward and make a difference in their communities.

The school opened their doors in 2022 to welcome their inaugural class of 70 young ladies. These students demonstrate a passion and a capacity for learning, inherent leadership qualities, and a desire to make a positive impact on our world. They receive an education with full room & board at no cost to them or their families. Savannah’s Reach has partnered to provide scholarships for students to reach their potential.
